Successful NERC ARSF hyperspectral grant application
During October the DART consortium submitted a grant application to the NERC Airborne Research and Survey facility for four flights with both Eagle and Hawk hyperspectral sensors and tthe RCD105 high resolution digital aerial camera. The flights were proposed for early spring, late spring, summer and autumn to capture different stages of crop growth and bare soil. The original grant application can be found here. We are delighted to let you know that this application was successful. Anthony Beck, Doreen Boyd and David Stott will go to Gloucester in mid February to speak to the NERC ARSF team about logistics and sensor configuration. On the latter point there may be the opportunity to bin spectral bands in order to increase spatial resolution. This will be discussed.
