Brief description of fieldwork activity and purpose:

Permalink for this paragraph 0 To take quantitative and qualitative thermal imaging measurements throughout a diurnal (daily) cycle and to evaluate the thermal masking effects of crop on soil thermal emmittance.

Fieldwork itinerary

  •  Mon 18th (arrive, co-ordinate erection of scaffolding, check equipment, check generator, set up tent, gazebo. agree working arrangements, identify and resolve any outstanding issues)
  • Tuesday 19th: measurements at first field
  • Wednesday 20th measurements at second field, strim crop in first field
  • Thursday 21st measurements at first field, strim crop in second field
  • Friday 22nd, measurements at second field. Dismantle equipment, Debrief

No other farm machinery will be used within a close radius of the research activities. A close liaison will be maintained with Mr Tony Norris (Farm manager). Livestock will not be an issue for this work.
